Members of group HOPE and FAITH, I hope you guys remember what we learn and shared during the activity we did last saturday. Just a recap of our activities, our Care Group exist to gather people for TRUE and GENUINE friendship to share our life with each other, we DO NOT have to PUT ON A MASK for we are only trying to be the person people wants us to be, and will be ending up being tired of life and feel like giving up in the long run. Remember those 2 verse I shared with you guys (1 Thessalonians 2:8 and 2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

We are not plastic people under shiny plastic steeples or a stained glass masquerade. Although we might feel vulnerable when we share our personal life with each another, but that’s exactly what Jesus wants us to do in order to walk with Him in the Light

John 3:19-21
“Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light, because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

1 John 1:5-7
“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.”

Let us continue to meet up each week as we come to learn about each other and to encourage and edify each other towards love and doing good. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

May God speak to you through His words and the video below. May God help us to grow and move forward in our Spiritual journey together as a body of Christ for the glory of His Kingdom !

AGC Youth Mini Olympic

Wohooo~~~~ Guess what boys and girls? SCHOOL HOLIDAY is approaching soon.

Don’t know what to do for your holiday? No worries, AGC Youth will be having a mini olympics this coming Saturday (13th of March 2010) on the FIRST DAY of SCHOOL HOLIDAY !!!

So what’s this mini olympic all about ?? Well, we will be having many interesting teamwork base games and also a few telematch which will be explain and elaborate further on.

In order to make this event more fun and exciting, we really do hope that you guys will bring along at least a friend to join us so that we will be able to share the fun and joy with them and also to be a friend to them so that they might be able to find meaningful friendship with us !

Hence, the groups will be rewarded with extra point for each new friend they have in their group. So do bring bring bring and bring as many friends as possible to help your group get extra points !!

Ok, I know most of you are having trouble inviting friends to this mini olympic for when you invite your friends and they tend to ask you “What are we gonna do/play?” and you will go like ” Ermm… ermm…. wait ah I ask my leader first ah ….” Or : I DONT KNOW !!!!” And this turn them off most of the time. So no worries we are here to help you do all the explanation, just invite them to this event and ask them read THIS SECTION:

Games and Telematch:

- 8 x 100m

- Captainball

- Telematch (Want to know what we are having for telematch? The only way for you to find out is to come and experience it yourself XD)

So do bring your friend along and lets have fun and to lighten up your first day of school holiday!

- Group Faith members are to wear red while the members of group Hope will be wearing black.

- Do come in your sport attire and sport shoes, also do bring an extra clothe in case you get dirty.

The story of a mouse trap

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

“What food might this contain?”, the mouse wondered - – -
he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning :

There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said,
“Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
“There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The pig sympathized, but said, “I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.

Be assured you are in my prayers.”

The mouse turned to the cow and said, ”There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”
The cow said, “Wow, Mr. Mouse. I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.”

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected,
to face the farmer’s mousetrap . . . alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house
– like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer’s wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.

But his wife’s sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.

To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer’s wife did not get well; she died.

So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember—— when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

REMEMBER. . . . . .

Hey everybody, so sorry for the long hiatus……. BUT, …… I’m BACK!!!! :)

This first post is to say a BIG thank you to all who have worked SO HARD for our youth camp AND for our Youth Christmas Celebration. Apart from the organizers and committee who sacrificed much for this ministry, I also want to appreciate all those who practiced almost the whole day long for many days to get the items off ground. Not forgetting the 2 power point presentations which were over in a few minutes but took MANY hours of hard work to put together. Then there are the musicians, the people who took care of the food, those who rolled up their sleeves to clean up, to decorate the church, those who took the trouble to invite their friends, to drive people to church and back home – the list is endless! Most of all, thank you to you ALL for making this event YOUR event

Uncle Allan and I are not the only ones who want to appreciate you great people. Here’s a lovely email received from one of our guests :

I would just like to personally thank you and your church for giving me such a warm welcome during the Christmas Celebration! =)

When I received an invitation to attend a screening of this film I though to myself, “Oh great… Another one of those low budget Christian films that’s poorly scripted and has sub-par acting.” After watching the film I am pleased to say that I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I was impressed by how well they portrayed everyday struggles and temptations instead of going out on a limb with plot elements that weren’t relevant to the everyday person. It was easy to relate to the characters, to feel their hope and disappointment. At the same time, they added larger-than-life aspects that created suspense and made for a very entertaining movie experience.

Most notably, I thought the movie showed the value of marriage and communicated hope that each of us could enjoy a more fulfilling marriage relationship if we were willing to make personal choices to achieve it.
