AGC Youth Investiture July 7, 2009
Posted by allany in Happenings.trackback

We felt that we needed to be serious with our responsibilities and with serving God within the Youth, so we felt an investiture was very important, to pledge before God and man, our commitment to love and serve Him.
Everybody was dressed in their group colors.
Elijah – Red; Elisha – White; Moses – Green and Joshua – Black

Eu Shaun used his God given gift and played the horn for one of our songs during worship – we’d love to have you do that more, Shaun

Uncle Allan explaining the purpose of the investiture

The pledge taking started off with the mentors, Allan, Julius and Veronica.
There was a slight hiccup cos uncle Allan used the wrong hand and so we stopped the pledge taking and resume with his right hand – this is just a simple example of how humans make mistakes and how the leaders can and will make mistakes, but the important thing is to “pick ourselves up” and with GOD’s strength, go on, press on and serve Him. Remember that when we make mistakes, we help each other by building each other up and NOT tearing each other down.

E squared la of course! EE sounds so weird…
