Whilst waiting for John and Marcus and whoever else to give me the pictures from the Valentine’s Day and Picnic, (hint, hint – and “no, thank you”, I don’t want to curi from Face book:p), I’d like to try this on our youth.
I read an article in last week’s Weekender about Smith Magazine’s Six Word Memoirs where people were invited to tell a real life story in just 6 words.
Its sad, but about 70% of the submissions received were about heartbreak. Some of the ones on love and heartbreak are:
“Married a hottie, Divorced a hothead”
“Met him online. Blogged our divorce”
“I cleaned. He cleaned me out”
“Not quite what I was planning”
“Ex-wife and contractor now have house”
“Girlfriend is pregnant, my husband said”
“In and out of hot water”
On a happier note:
“He still needs me at sixty-four”
“Our prison visits were surprisingly romantic”
“I still make coffee for two”
Now, how about you?
Lets have something happier, shall we?
Erm, I’ll start by saying
“He happily orders food for me”
“We snort at the same time”

Hi eveyrbody,
Tomorrow we will be thinking about caring for each other in a loving and healthy way as opposed to the world view of a temporary, mushy Valentine’s day which sometimes is just a ploy to “get” the gurl or guy you are interested in. It’ll be great to see everyone again and worship together after a long break.
Second message is one of caution
John Kit and his friends were robbed on Sunday in the early hours of the morning at a mamak restaurant near Cahaya. some masked guys came into the restaurant with parangs and robbed everybody of their wallets and phones plus other stuff they wanted. We want to thank God for protecting John and his friends. The police told John that a similar robbery happened in Pandan area. Then his friend told him that he was robbed too at the coffee shop across the street from Spectrum in Ampang. My friend just sent me an email a couple of minutes ago and said she was a snatch thief victim at Dataran Sunway whilst crossing the road.
Times are bad and there are a those who are desperate enough to do this kind of thing.
Be wise and do not stay out too late, try to leave the restaurants, coffee shops or mamaks by 11.30pm and make sure there is no one following you home. I’d say leave your expensive phones in the car and just bring some loose cash with you in the pocket when you go out to eat. Just make sure you have enough money to pay the mamak AND to give any robber just so he won’t be upset that you have nothing to give him! Don’t use the phone when you are walking on the streets as it attracts the wrong kind of attention plus you are not attentive to any stalkers!
Above all, PRAY hard for a safer Malaysia!

The first thing I must admit to is that I “curi-ed” all these shots from Joy’s facebook, so Joy, just want to thank you for the pics.
I know that the whole gang came to my place first and then ventured out for lunch at about 12+ before going to visit the other homes
I wonder if you guys and gals enjoyed the CNY visitation, I mean, apart from the fact that everybody got a bit richer – except those who had to give ang pows la 
SO, I’d like to invite everybody who went for the visitation to put a small note here, something to thank the hosts, or the drivers, something good about the visitation that you want to share with others, something good you want to say about the homes that you visited, an encouragement you received from another person, what made you happy that day…….etc, etc, etc……
