Our ‘games’. August 23, 2008
Posted by allany in Happenings.3 comments
OK, we were supposed to be playing games like captain ball and basket ball at UKRC today. BUT, it started raining at about 3.55pm and it dashed our hopes of playing outdoor games. A bunch of us were already at the McDonalds restaurant, Ampang Jaya, so, after thinking through, we decided to call everybody else to join us there.
So what did we do? We had a game too, but it was a “no sweat” kind of game, as Keng Lik put it. (More about the game in another post when the videos are out). After that the groups had a discussion about a project that they will undertake before Christmas. Chain Reaction decided to sell food after morning worship to raise funds, Crazy 4 Christ will sell stuff and also commit to recycling for charity, Counter Culture committed to doing odd jobs to raise funds and Christ Generation had some proposals but had not decided on their project.

Some people were distracted by the Olympics on TV.

And so their group members were left alone.

Group Crazy 4 Christ.

Group Counter Culture.

Group Christ Generation.
and Group Chain Reaction.

Pictures, pictures, pictures. Enjoy!
Everyone, young and old, all excited and ready to go.
Free water…for some of us at least.
Don’t you think KKY and Chi Ling look cool?
Mrs Chang ….. way to go!
Some people found it appropriate to take a snooze on the road.
Best of friends, I would say.
The first few arrivals back to the club.
All the pics above were taken by Andy with the exception of the last pic.

After the walkathon, everyone made their way back to the AGC chinese church for a hearty dinner – many thanks to the Ladies Committee for a job well done!

The following pics taken by Veron on her mobile phone.
Everyone is hungry.
Good walk…. good food.
Only PYY in the centre walked in the walkathon. Ha! Ha! Ha!
But really, I’m really encouraged that they joined us for fellowship despite not being able to make it for the walkathon.
Nixon found his cool, little corner.
Kudos to our UPSR candidates who came despite their oncoming exams.
By the way, kinda hard to believe they are all the same age, ya?

Hey everybody, Davis was admitted to the Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital this afternoon for high fever – reason for the fever is not known yet. Please pray for him and go visit him, but do plan your visits together so that he has time to rest. Lunch and dinner are good times to visit since he will be awake then.
He is in Room 405.
