Camp was a BLAST!!!!
I enjoyed the camp, enjoyed spending time with you people, enjoyed the food, enjoyed seeing you running up and down Jonker street searching for the illusive place or item, enjoyed watching you guzzle down that free drink we bought for you.
Photos and videos coming SOON!!!!
BUT in the meantime, ITS YOUR BLOG
, so tell us one thing you learned at camp or one thing you have committed to do after camp. Yes, please do tell us right here, in the comments.
Aunty V
Well, I think overall is fine. but mind me saying that, I think this time’s resident area is not so suitable because we are living in a church, and we couldn’t carry out much more activities. The message is simple and clear, but I think it’s time for the youth to have some solid food for their spiritual soul, we are so far having milk and should now be eating at least biscuits.:) For me, I really need this because I really want to grasp as many food as I can so that I can be a living testimony to those behind us, as the camp theme song said so. And the amazing race was a little to fast, and kind of weird to me, I dunno why. I’ve learnt many things for this camp, but I hope there will be much more better things ahead of us. and for the workshops, I think it’s not really interesting, I prefer practical than theory, I wonder whether next time’s workshop will be better…haha..and I do hope that the coming workshop, Uncle Julius will be involved, cause I have the confidence that I’ll surely learn something more from him. haha
aha, and the free hugs…well, I do not know whether should I agree on that, yes, it’s a good thing to hug, but hugging too often will make one become too open and will cause negative influence in the society. I think the better way to hug, is to do it at home first, and consistently reminding them that hugging is a serious matter. And to be sensitive towards others because not everyone likes to be touched.
I learnt to relax. Learnt to love. Learnt to worship by living right.
the camp was awesome!
I absorbed lotsa things throughout the camp.. to love more, care more and be more considering.. open hearted to share and to listen others problems and experiences. special thanks for my group members ASH and of course uncle Julius who made me know more abt God.
enjoyed the moments of worshiping too..
haha.. I’m the ASH’s leader.. you’re welcome Jinq Yi! Hope to see you in every saturday and sunday. haha
Ya.. I agreed sarah’s comment! (Why I keep on agreeing her comment huh?) haha.. I can’t feel the adventure of this camp actually .. erm.. feel like locking ourselves inside the chamber! haha… not like last year youth camp! when we come out from room and we can see forest and river.. kind of relaxing la!
About the hug.. actually is good! Sarah.. No one call you go and hug the people you don’t know. Be more sociable a bit ok? If you hug someone do you feel a bit of kindness?. I donno la! I feel everything when I hug people. I also can agreed sarah abit la.. Don’t hug too often.. will cause negative influence in society.
That’s my opinion!
Last but not least..I enjoyed the camp and I learned a lot from U.Julius! I know why sarah wants U.Julius do the workshop! She wants to get some tips of doing business! haha Me too actually not only sarah! haha..
and last.. Who wants free hugs??
In this camp, I learned to not cough too much. Especially on sleeping people.
LoL Jee Yann.
I like the workshop really much, learned alot from the leaders.
Thx Uncle Jeffrey , Jie Jie Yihua and PYY
Learned to be alert when i am wearing my pants low and learned that Malacca got pink street lights.
Learned to care more ,love more ,hear more ,smile more and always persevere.
Thx again to the Camp committee especially Uncle Julius for being so sporting haha.
Hi Guys! i uploaded camp photo on my blog! feel free to download it!
I think this time the camp message was very very good. Clear simple and direct illustration was given by Uncle Julius, it can be easily related to out life.
The most important thing I learned is to PERSEVERE on the RIGHT things. NOT giving up (perseverance) so easily when we know that we are doing something for the LORD. And we really have to learn how to LET GO (not persevering on) things that are hindering us.
Besides that I learned how to reach out to others. I used to be always staying in my comfort zone, staying where I am and not approaching others. But during camp time I tried to approach those I seldom approach, although not all but a few is a good start for me.
And the part I enjoyed most in the camp was the part where our group THIYNE was doing the rehearsal for our drama. Thanks to Calvin Ngai we all had a great time LAUGHING OUT LOUD =)
One thing I learnt most is “throwing off hindrances and the sin that so easily entangles”, I’ve been slowed and pulled down by alot of things in the past.. It’s really time to set out for the race by continue refreshing our spirit in the Lord.
Thanks for every single one of you for making the camp so memorable! Let us now run with perseverance the race in front of us!
I am glad to see so much going on here. Well I learnt to sit back and let others take over and quietly do some humble chores. Thanks to Ian and others who served you without complaining. I saw Ian going around cleaning, packing, even made a u turn back to campsite to retrieve a left behind hp. Let us all don’t give up, run a good race and … be MAD 4 Jesus. Thanks!
U Allan
Im here!!! finally after all the months. firstly, it was so much more fun due to my friends present there. it was really a memorable camp. having able to spend my last year of school with my classmates at camp really means alot to me. i learnt how different people communicate and the different speeds at which people take to get comfortable. i also learnt that understanding others is the only way others understand you. Thanks group ACACIA for giving me the opportunity of a life time to get to know you guys more, especially joy and the gang. haha.

I’m here 2!!! I’ve learnt alot of things, and I’ve met alot of new people. But best of all was that the gaps between me and some people were bridged… (don’t know if you understand but…) I also want to thank my group members from THYINE. You guys made me feel like we were one family and also that I got to know you guys better. And I’m also glad that I met some of Andy’s friends too. Anyway, the best part of the camp was the free hugs. I learnt that things can be said by just a simple gesture. So I want to thank everyone who went! Because of you guys I learned to persevere and not give up! Hugs to the camp commitee who made it happen!

okay so..
Camp was really really great!:)
Very good job done to Ian and the committee^^, I’m sure they’ve tried really hard in making this camp happen.
This camp is really meaningful to me because it is the first time successfully bringing a non-Christian friend and I’m just so glad..Praise God!
Oh, I really enjoyed uncle Julius’ messages throughout the camp, I really learnt alot:)thanks uncle Julius!
Yea Andrea, the free hug was the best part=p
I mean, really, just a warm hug or a pat on the back really encourages.
Then, Gala Night. Haha, the sketches were really good..especially Acacia=p(all thanks to our group leader Indiana Yong..hehe)ok-lah, I enjoyed Queen Mojojojo very much as well^^
All in all, I’ve learnt so much, to run the race in life with perserverance no matter what kind of roadblocks appear, and to continue to fix our eyes on Jesus, for He will carry us all the way=)
God bless all~
